President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Muhammed Dikwa as the Acting Accountant General of the Federation. This will be his first senior cadre appointment and the appointment takes immediate effect from June 12, 2015. It follows the retirement from service of Jonas Otunla. Until his appointment, Mr. Dikwa was the Director, Funds Department in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. He would hold the office until a substantive Accountant-General is appointed by the president. Mr. Dikwa is aged 55 and happily married with children.
