Father caught feeding his 1-year-old son with beer 

A father has been nabbed after he was caught feeding his baby boy with a beer in a viral video.

In the video, the father, Sri Lankan could be seen alongside three of his friends feeding his son with a bottle of beer in Meegalewa, a village in the north central district of Anuradhapura.

A voice could be heard in the background of the video saying alcohol should not be given to a child.

Reuters report that the police arrested the father of the infant on Tuesday after the video was broadcast on local television.

The video seen by Reuters showed the suspect feeding his bottle of beer twice to his son while at least one voice could be heard in the background saying that alcohol should not be given to a child.

Police spokesman, Ruwan Gunasekera said the child has been passed to a judicial medical officer to test if the drink was indeed alcoholic.
