Deborah Yakubu, a female student of Shehu Shagari
College of Education Sokoto State was stoned and burnt to death today in her school for blasphemy.
This gruesome act was committed by her fellow students who allegedly traced her to her location, stone and burnt her to death after she sent a voice note to their class Whatsapp group chat.
In a voice note, she reacted against posting of religious contents in their class group chat. Unfortunately, this was tagged blasphemy against a Prophet by her co-students.
This is a very painful news and we hope that her family finds peace.
