A tragic incident occurred in Eerste River, Western Cape, South Africa, where a 14-year-old girl named Naeema Marshall from Beacon Valley in Mitchells Plain was fatally shot by a 15-year-old boy she knew. The incident took place on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Reports suggest that the shooting was the result of the boy’s anger after Naeema rejected his romantic advances. Captain Frederick van Wyk, the police spokesperson for Western Cape, confirmed the investigation of a

Naeema’s mother, Fadeema Marshall, is deeply affected by the loss of her youngest child. Naeema, a Grade 9 student at Beacon Valley High School, was on holiday visiting her relative when the tragic incident occurred.
