My parents were relieved to see me again back home again – Dabota, an ex-beauty queen, discusses her divorce from her husband.

Dabota Lawson, a former beauty queen, revealed that upon her separation from her estranged husband, Prince Sunny Aku, her parents warmly welcomed her home with great joy. During an interview on TVC’s ‘Your View’ show, Dabota mentioned that her parents refrained from probing into the reasons behind her failed marriage, as they didn’t want to burden her.

To provide some context, Dabota had previously married the wealthy entrepreneur, Prince Sunny Aku, but their marriage ended less than a year later. During the interview, she shared that her ex-husband later reached out to her, acknowledging his shortcomings and expressing remorse.

“My return home brought immense happiness to my parents. They didn’t press me for answers or explanations, understanding the need to spare me from additional stress. I went back home and everything was fine.

“He got in touch with me and offered apologies for various things, but I have already moved on from that phase. I have detached myself emotionally, allowing me to forgive, and we have been on good terms ever since.”
