Sound Sultan’s wife writes a tribute to her late husband.

Farida Fasasi, the spouse of the late Nigerian artist Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu, who was widely recognized as Sound Sultan, has expressed her deep emotions while remembering her husband.

Remembering that Sound Sultan passed away in July 2021, following a struggle with throat cancer in the United States of America.

Using social media to commemorate the second anniversary of his passing, Farida Fasasi penned a heartfelt message on Instagram.

“Today, I choose to celebrate you and honour your legacy. I choose to remember you in a good way. Omo iseyin, the one that loves his culture so much. My tall dark skinned Iseyin man.

“’Aboo’ is the fond name you called me. Our three beautiful kids miss you so much, they still remember everything about you, and it is funny how they talk about you like you are still here.

“Your siblings have been very supportive, and they try their best not to let us feel your absence in our lives. They also miss you every day.”
