The explosive Netflix series created by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has received a nomination for a prestigious Hollywood award. Titled “Harry & Meghan,” the $100 million docuseries, which debuted on Netflix in December, quickly became the second-highest ranked documentary on the platform, surpassed only by “The Tinder Swindler.” The series has now been recognized in the Best Streaming Nonfiction category at the Hollywood Critics Awards. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be competing against other notable contenders like “Prehistoric Planet 2,” “Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss,” “Rennervations,” “The 1619 Project,” and “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy.” The nominees were selected through an anonymous voting process conducted by the HCA’s TV Awards Committee, consisting of 27 members. The decision-making members within the committee, chosen from a larger association of 180 individuals, remain undisclosed. The HCA TV Awards Committee and Television Branch members will commence voting for the winners on July 18, 2023.
